A few friends spent part of Saturday in there watching the England V Kazahkstan game (oct 11, 2008). First off, our food took 45 minutes to arrive (at the time we ordered, there were four people in the pub) yet all we wanted was one bean burger and a chilli con carne. Then their cooling system broke down so they couldn't serve pints. The one (!) member of staff on duty didn't bother telling anyone though, so people were just filing out after learning they would have to pay £3 for bottled (eg: a half-pint) beer when a pint is only 25p more. Nobody apologised and nobody put a sign up on the bar to warn people. The result? There were half the people that are normally there to watch England. The bar staff seem more anxious to have fags outside than serve people. I was going to complain but I cannot find out who owns the place. I shall never enter its doors again.
