The Toby Jug is handily situated just across from Central Station - the enterance is actually in Hope St (not Union Street). A traditional bar, wooden floors, dark bar etc - basic but ok seating and tables with an area outsdie that is cordened off to st and drink and smoke (or freeze in the winter) A few TVs are dotted around the bar showing sports, Xfactor etc. Punters are ok and mixed although mostly the older crowd (40 plus)- Beer selection isn't great but spirits etc are ok - Bar staff are hit and miss but recently they have been realy friendly (and very cute - sexist but true!). Major drawback is that the toilets are a bit of a trek so time it well if youve had a skinful. Overall good for a pint/vodka etc not really an all night pub for the weekend though.
