Just had a roast dinner here. Everywhere else was packed but this place was empty at 1pm which we hoped was because it was off the main drag of Southover street. The constant pinging of a microwave made us a little nervous, justifiably so as the dinner we received was appalling. The food tasted and looked like it was at least a day old and was not even properly reheated.

Pub itself lacks any ambiance and is dull.

Never again.

The Reservoir has changed hands and had a make over. Now does decent Thai food from an open kitchen until 10pm (which is very handy seeing as most places stop serving early in hanover on fri/sat).

The beer is the cheapest in hanover: £2.50 for most lagers and even guiness is under 3 quid.

Much improved, could well become my new local.

You could quite easily walk past this pub - which is on a residential street - without realising its there. Not that its particularly small but it just doesn't really have the look of a pub or any real signs to speak of.

Inside its a relaxed affair with quiet music and a pleasant, if often to rather flat, atmospere. Theres also a lower floor which is (usually very quiet) with a little garden/back bit (don't sit next to the dooor as theres and compressor type machine that keeps coming on blowing hot air and being very loud).

You used to be able to order food in from a company call 'intonight' but I don't think you can do that any more.

Pleasant enough place but can a bit a boring.
