I'm a local to this place and I work in the pub trade, all it needs is a good chef, friendly staff and reasonably large re-furb but the location is excellent, just opposite bus station and on route to student accom. and uni's. Frankly my partner and I would love to buy it and do it up; we think it's got great potential just never been done right plus needs at least £60k put in it to get it appealing to uni market.

Awful, we just nipped in for a quick pint, we walked in to the pub and went to sit in the garden, my partner needed the toilet so went straight away leaving me sat in the garden, I was waiting for her to return before doing our drinks order as she had not told me what she would like, my partner, when heading to the toilet was shutted out by the rude and inattentive barman that it was "not a public toilet and you didn't even ask!!" AVOID at all costs, we left as no body insults my partner especially as we here looking forward to sitting and enjoying the sun and a few pints in their beer garden. Hope this latest reincarnation is short lived. such a shame as it a local pub we would have made good use of. The pub was all put empty as well.. tells it all really!!

The hub, no mans an Island etc etc etc- this place has changed names and hands more times than you can imagine- perhaps because it's crap. Who want's to sit in a pub in the middle of a traffic island on the bloody Lewes road?

Great pub with a huge selection of drinks available, friendly bar staff, English pool table & two dart boards, loads of outdoor seating, friendly atmosphere, definitely a pub to visit for a hassle free evening/day out.
