We had an evening meeting for a school charity event at the Duke of Monmouth and enjoyed the wine and Fondue very much that was making our brainstorming session such a fun event. The service was a bit slow but that was the only weak spot. We will be back.

My first visit to this pub and I was pleasantly surprised. The bitter was well kept and the following meal was very tasty. I enjoyed a Cordon Bleu with and a glass of Merlot, all at a very reasonable price. The service was extremely friendly, with the meal being served in an eating area, slightly back from the bars, making it nicely discreet. This pub is well worth a visit, even a detour, if travelling.

Much improved, high standards and friendliness. Food and drinks are tasty. They have live music occasionally too, such as quirky local favourites, Veda Park on September 4th.

It is nice to have a Pub with a Swiss touch in Oxford. There is definitely a drive for higher catering standards, cleanliness and the Swiss food is nice. We will be back and it is going to give us an alternative to our regulars at Summertown’s North Parade.

This pub reopened on 2 April 2009 - the new tenants are delightful Swiss people. They made us feel incredibly welcome. We had dinner - delicious mushroom ravioli with shavings of Swiss cheese followed by amazing chocolate mousse and apple tart. Really excellent - this is going to be one of Oxford's gems.
