The Ancient Mariner is a fairly large pub with quite a lot of outside seating on the street (although this is a residential area). There's very much a kind of suburban Hove atmosphere in there, quite different to most pubs in Brighton.

The food mainly consists of various sausage and mash combinations. Quite tasty. But annoyingly when I asked to mix up the types of sausage I got a 'too complicated' response, which given the simplicity of the meal is some what ridiculous.
