The Crown is a bit of an anomally in the list of Kemptown pubs. Hurt fiscally on both sides by the local paronised Hand in Hand and the youthfully patronised Sidewinder, it's pretty much been limping along forever, really. That said, it should be noted that The Crown is a proper boozer - it's a place to get a good pint, sit, talk, play doms and then be on your way. Last I was there, they had tvs, but I'm not sure if they had Sky Sports and I think there was a jukebox, but I can't be sure. For a one-stop Crawl Pub, it i worth popping in to see how pubs used to be. It's like drinking in someone's living room.
