I am not a great fan of The Oak, much preferring The Ranelagh around the corner, or the Tin Drum for food also very close. It does though, have two large Sky tvs for football and it has two bars and glorious sun trap of an outside beer garden, a pool table and many other redeeming features. One of which is the chocolate brown Labrador consistently found mooching around there. Thing is, it’s a bit grotty and is the only pub I know (even in Kemptown) that opens to serve at 10:30am. That said, stopping in for a quick Crawl Pint – if the garden’s open – get it done.
