I still drink in the pub to this day and just wanted to say the previous review is comical!! I still enjoy the 35ml measures and decent priced pints!! That Rangers must also be part of their nonsical world! Quality

Roddy's was one of the best Free Houses in the city centre until it was sold to Bellhaven a few months ago. The usual brewers reaction when they take over a pub - hike up the prices and cut the measures. The pub had no particular football affiliation with a mix of Old Firm fans regulars but a rumour is now circulating that they intend to run a Rangers supporters bus from the pub which will result in a large exodus of regulars. Hopefully the rumour is unfounded and the mixed clientele remains as it has a good atmosphere on a Saturday afternoon.

One of the better city centre bars, popular after work with the office / bank crowd. Busy Thursday - Saturday. The Pub has a few big screen TVs dotted around the bar that are never too loud so you can hold a conversation (although when busy it's a noisey bar). It has a smoking area which is actually inside the bar, although technically you are outside?? Seating is ok but could be better (not enough seat for a large bar). Beer & spirits selection is pretty good (wine not so well stocked) & prices are ok for Glasgow. Service is usually very good and quick. Bar food is very good/basic - but there is (or was) a pretty nice restaurant attached to the pub (upstairs) that is excellent. Toilets are clean & well kept but watch the hot water tap is the temp of the Sun! Although it's always busy and friendly the atmosphere doesn’t work for me for some reason always find it a bit "bland" but I reckon that’s just me - definitely worth a visit.
