has this changed hands? has gone downhill since previous visit in 2013. service was slow and there were only 4 tables occupied! Everyone agreed vegetables were cold,needs to improve.

What a find...fantastic!

Visiting The View for the first time, we researched online and found this restaurant on the beech in Hove and what a find! We had dinner last night and loved it! It's great to come across such a friendly and relaxed place, which serves excellent food in a clean, smart and modern restaurant. I highly recommend the pizza (cooked by a fab Italian chef) and the bruschetta (served at another table) looked fantastic! We loved the personal attention and warm welcome from the owner and the individual art on the walls. The prices were great too! We'll be back again and hope this fab place goes from strength to strength - it's great!!

TERRIBLE!

went there for my mums birthday, first off the table was dirty, rather than re-laying it with clean tablecloth, they just left it bare.

then my mums cappuccino was barely any coffee and the majority of it was froth.

the food order wasn't difficult as only 2 out of 3 of us ordered and they still bought out the wrong thing....twice.

service was half hearted.

A neighbor had recommended the roast at The View restaurant on Hove seafront to us so my husband and i decided to give it a go. on the plus side my nut roast was good and my husband was pleased with his full English! the negative was it was a nice day, the place was mobbbbbed and we had a 55 minute wait! we did get a free round of drinks...he he he! booked for Christmas lunch hope we get the food by NYE!

Stopped off one hot sunday. Fantastic location Decided to go inside as too hot to sit outside. Very pleasantly surprised as very nicely decorated. Decided to have a late breakfast. We ordered two scrambled eggs on toast and I ordered eggs hollandaise. What i got was two small watery eggs on doughy muffins with what can only be described as cheap thin sandwich ham. Awful. I couldn't eat it. I complained to the waitress and she said she would tell the chef. I didn't hear anything and as we had paid at the point of ordering there was little we could do but walk out.

If that is what is served will never go back.
