Been going to this pub for 10 years and the landlord has just taken the profit off his overpriced beer and put nothing back. No local people use it now and it is empty on weekend nights.

The place gets one coat of emulsion every 4 years and that's it. The carpet needs swabbing to check for germs and bacteria. The beer itself is often of or unavailable, even the lager was of the other night.

All in all a s**thole.

Entirely agree with the previous review. This used to be a good pub with excellent music once a month on Sunday. It used to have an interesting and friendly local clientèle. Now the beer is as expensive as anywhere in Brighton and the pub is avoided by locals. Early Friday evenings are a swamp of loud builders. If you don't enjoy gratuitous swearing don't go. The décor is grim even though newly painted. The food is still good though, but not good enough to offset all the above. Remember to step over the piles of fag butts in the entrance.

This pub should be good but due to the drab no picture walls, the builders effing and blinding across the bar ,and the awful toilets,leave only the good food to save it,but it can't!
