The Vale is very well sitautated across from Queen St Station next to the taxi rank, so it gets a good passing crowd - Can get busy on a Friday and Sat with folk waiting for the train / taxi home. A basic clean bar, really nice staff and a good selection of beers & spirits - has an upstairs section that shows sporting events/the odd gig (as does the downstairs with a large screen tv) - Sometimes gets a crowd of footy fans in that can be a bit loud/opinionated at times but no trouble - Not my fav pub, but a decent one and at least the temerature inside isn't that off the sun as the pub next door (Dows) A good pub of its type and worth a visit for a pint
